Conrad Vanderlely was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Conrad’s passion for boating and marine life was formed at an early age. “My father began his own business, Offshore Marine in Fort Lauderdale, catering to high-performance engines and marine rigging,” Conrad said.
He remembers spending his summers learning the basic knowledge of boat construction and marine engines. Having been born and raised on the waters of Fort Lauderdale, Conrad begged for his first boat at 12 years old. It was then with his 15′ Boston Whaler that Conrad knew he wanted to have a career in the boating industry. He was always fascinated by marine life and is an avid surfer and free diver.
Conrad knew early that he belonged in the boating world and dedicated his free time to learning everything he could about fishing, marine life, and the yachting industry. Conrad graduated Dean’s list from Nova Southeastern University with a degree in Environmental Science. Expanding his awareness of the environment, Conrad focused his interest in sustainability.
His passion, dedication, and industry knowledge are outstanding. Conrad brings with him an integrity that centers on doing the right thing, the right way. Understanding his clients’ needs, experience level, and lifestyle allows him to provide truly personal service based on a relationship, not just a sale. His love of all things boating, focus, drive, and attention to detail make him a great asset to Denison Yachting.
My Client Testimonials
I have worked with Conrad almost daily for the last 4 years. He is always there to help me out, solve problems, and overall make my life easier. He is knowledgeable and has a true passion for all things aquatic.
I can always count on Conrad to be prompt, thorough and proficient. Conrad is a pleasure to work with and an all-around go to guy....
This is to commend Conrad Vanderlely for his outstanding service to me as I bought my Mainship 390 in July 2014. With the great Denison database I had no trouble searching for boats on my own but Conrad helped me where I really needed help: the boat evaluation and buying process. He did also suggest some good boats for me to look at when I strayed off my original plan to buy a Mainship, but he helped me get back on track and end up with the perfect boat for me. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to go through this without the help of a great buyer’s broker like Conrad.
I read the prior testimonials about Conrad on the Denison Website, they said he was great and I was not disappointed. Conrad helped me every step of the way and he answered my constant questions as we went along. He was very patient with me on that score. He was always quick to get back to me when I called and he contacted me frequently to tell me what was going on and what was next. He did research when we needed it and helped me in the negotiation, survey and closing process. He recommended other experts to me that were a great part of what became my boat buying team: finance experts, insurance experts and survey experts: all communicating with each other as we went along. Buying a yacht is very complex, more complicated that buying a house. You should never buy a boat without this kind of expertise on your side and Conrad helped put this entire team together. Together Conrad and I executed this process like clockwork: not possible without him.
If I buy another boat or decide to sell this one, Conrad will be the first person I call, that is for sure. On top of all his knowledge and hard work Conrad has a great personality and he is a pleasure to work with: a true professional all the way. The final grade: A+...
Conrad was one step ahead of everything during the purchase of my boat. He was very accommodating to our schedules and needs, got all the information we requested quickly, and responded promptly either via email, text, or a phone call. I was very impressed with his knowledge about the purchase and evaluation of vessels. He definitely went above and beyond when it came to getting the boat survey, boat loan, and even boat insurance. He is very pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend him if you are looking to purchase or sell a vessel. Thank you Conrad!...
"Conrad is an outgoing and friendly young man with a substantial knowledge of the boating industry and South Florida waterways. He is a consummate professional who can be trusted to guide his clients to what will ultimately be the best boat purchase for their likes and needs."...
I recently flew from New Zealand to Florida with the intention of purchasing a boat. Prior to leaving I contacted Conrad Vanderlely at Denison Yacht Sales in Ft Lauderdale. Conrad helped sort out a few possibilities to look at when I arrived and even went as far as inspecting the vessels prior to my arrival to get a gauge of the condition of the boats. On arrival, as I didn’t have any transport, Conrad was more than happy to drive me around showing me the boats and even went beyond the call of duty, sorting out accommodation for me. As it turned out, I purchased my boat, Conrad organised a surveyor, the haul out yard and sea trials etc, all at short notice and did his best to help out in any way he could.
I couldn't have asked for a better broker or nicer guy to look after the deal and would have no hesitation in recommending Conrad to any prospective purchaser....
If you are buying a boat, this is the testimonial to read. My name is Ron, I am from Iowa, I boat on the Mississippi. I was looking for a 30' Cruisers Express. I found a couple on the Denison Yacht Sales website. I made a call and at the other end was a very friendly voice whose name was Conrad Vanderlely, from Florida. I was apprehensive about dealing with someone so far away. We had looked a few boats online in Wisconsin, and we agreed, they were not suitable for me. Conrad found one in Fort Lauderdale, knowing that Conrad works on commission, I was very pleasantly surprised how he negotiated down the price, since it would affect his commission. Conrad met me at the boat, he spent 6 hours with a boat inspector that I had hired. He also lined up a great moving company for me. Conrad was on the phone every time that I needed answers and was also very informative of the progress. Conrad also went to my boat before they moved it to store things away. I just felt bad that I was not buying a bigger boat so he would make more commission. I asked Conrad if I owed him some money for all of the extra help he was providing, and he always told me it was part of his service.
Denison Yacht Sales has a great staff to assist on the transfer of the sale. If you are looking for a small or large boat, I strongly recommend Denison Yacht Sales with Conrad Vanderlely on your team....
Thank you Conrad for helping us find our new vessel. We had been searching all summer and honestly, hadn't considered the lay-out you presented us to review. After making an offer the next day, I think you know we were more than excited. We do so appreciate you opening our eyes to something we hadn't considered. We are making plans for our trips over the next 12 months. Thank you again!...
My wife and I very much appreciated working with Conrad Vanderlely of Denison Yachts, by phone and in person. When I started looking to buy a boat, he was one of the people I called to ask about a boat he was representing.
I found he was very helpful in discussing the pros and cons of the types of boats for my location and in recommending a surveyor. After attempting to purchase a couple of boats without a broker, I decided there were too many questions and issues about the boats and the findings of a survey and inspection. I needed professional help.
Because Conrad was so helpful when I talked to him several months earlier, I decided to call Conrad and ask if he would represent me as a Buyers Broker. It was the best decision I could make. As I discussed my location, budget and my use of the boat, Conrad was helpful in focusing my attention on the type of boat I wanted.
He was prompt in submitting boats for my review and flexible in arranging viewings of the boats available. He worked patiently with our schedule because we were out of state. He continued to answer our numerous questions and offered insights. He was the voice of reason when it came to budget and the knowledgeable person to interact with the seller or the seller’s broker. At close,
Denison’s staff was very good to work with the titling, insuring and registrations of the boat.
We wholeheartedly recommend Conrad as an honest, knowledgeable, helpful and easy-to-work-with boat broker....
